lamejs 1.2.1 - the corresponding source (134 of the 146 files of the package) =========================================================================== This folder belongs to the BestMastering website (https://bestmastering.com). The website uses the JavaScript MP3 encoder library lamejs 1.2.1 when you export an MP3 file. lamejs is free software under the GNU Lesser General Public License, version 3 (LGPL-3.0), as the package.json in this folder says. This folder holds 134 of the 146 files of the package, each exactly as its author published it, so that the source of the library is available from the same place as the library itself. The other 12 files (example pages with their scripts and five WAV samples) are left out and listed below with their size and SHA-256; the complete package is at the registry URL below. They were unpacked once for the copy and once more for a comparison: identical. Changes ------- None. Every file in this folder is byte-identical to the file with the same path in the package. SHA256SUMS-BESTMASTERING.txt lists the SHA-256 of each of them (134 files, 2352324 bytes); check them with "sha256sum -c SHA256SUMS-BESTMASTERING.txt" inside this folder. The only two files here that are not from the package are this README and that list. Left out of this copy (12 of 146 files, 4105993 bytes) ----------------------------------------------------- They are not needed to understand or to rebuild the library. They are in the .tgz at the registry URL above, where anyone can get the complete package. Rebuilding lame.min.js ---------------------- makeall.sh shows how the package builds it: it lists the files of src/js with browserify and concatenates them inside one function lamejs() into lame.all.js (dropping the require(...) and module.exports lines and the assert calls); then a closure-compiler jar (compiler.jar, option --language_in ECMASCRIPT5) turns lame.all.js into lame.min.js. minify.sh is that second step alone. BestMastering has not run these scripts: it serves the minified file of the package, not one it built itself. The README.md of the package shows lame.all.js used in a page without the second step. Notes ----- * The files named LICENSE (the one in this folder and the one in src/main/java) each hold an answer of the LAME project to the question "Can I use LAME in my commercial program?". They are not licence texts; the licence is the LGPL. * src/main/java/COPYING is the text of the GNU Library General Public License, version 2. It comes with the Java sources of jump3r, of which the README.md of the package says that lamejs is a rewrite. * package.json lists the dependency use-strict 1.0.1, which is not part of the package. No file in this folder refers to it. * Source files without a header carry no copyright line of their own. The Java sources in src/main/java carry further ones. * Questions: support@bestmastering.com
