Cookies and Storage Notice
1. Short version#
- The free tools set no cookies. Cookies of ours appear only when you use an account (sign in, buy, download), and they exist only to keep you signed in and to protect the requests. A visitor who never opens an account function receives no cookie.
- Your projects, imported audio and settings are stored in your browser on your device. We cannot see them.
- A service worker keeps a copy of the program files so the Site works offline. It never stores your audio.
- There is no analytics, advertising or tracking storage.
- The bot check on the sign-up and password-reset forms (and on sign-in after failed attempts) is run by Cloudflare. We set no cookie and store nothing in your browser for it; for anything Cloudflare itself sets, refer to Cloudflare (clause 8).
2. Cookies (only when you use an account)#

Cookie scope: the cookies are set for the domain bestmastering.com. The account service runs on api.bestmastering.com, so the cookies are sent to the Site and to that service, and they are valid for every sub-domain of bestmastering.com (all of which are ours). Your browser never sends them to any other domain.
These cookies are strictly necessary for the service you ask for. We do not use cookies for analytics or advertising.
3. Browser storage: localStorage#
localStorage stores small text values in your browser. Every access in our code is wrapped so that the Site still works if storage is blocked.

4. Browser storage: IndexedDB#
IndexedDB stores larger data in your browser. All of it stays on your device.

5. Cache storage and the service worker#
5.1pwa-register.js registers a service worker (/sw.js, scope /). It is not registered on local development servers.
5.2The worker stores a copy of our own program files (pages, scripts, styles, icons, the MP3 encoder, platform data) in Cache Storage, in a cache named bestmastering-<build id>. When a new version of the Site is published, the new version fills a new cache and the old one is deleted.
5.3It never stores your audio. The worker skips files with audio, video or project extensions (wav, wave, mp3, flac, ogg, oga, opus, m4a, aac, aif, aiff, mp4, webm, mov, bmproj, zip), anything the browser loads as audio or video, and requests for part of a file.
5.4Account data is not cached. The worker does not handle requests to any address other than our own (the account service on api.bestmastering.com is one), skips our own paths /v1/*, /dl/* and the download manifest, never keeps an answer that is marked "no-store" or "private", and never caches a request that carries an authorisation header. So answers such as your balance and deposit address are never copied into the cache and are not shown after you sign out.
6. Licence information#
6.1When you are signed in, the Site fetches your signed licence (what you own, until when) and checks its signature on your device. It keeps the licence in memory only, so it is gone when you close the page; if the connection drops while the page is open, a licence that was already checked keeps the Pro functions working until it ends. The only thing written to browser storage is the small hint of clause 3. The licence contains your account ID, licence ID, plan or products, dates and signature - not your e-mail address or your password. Only if the CXDX hold feature is ever used, it also contains the linked wallet address.
7. Files that the plug-ins keep on your computer#
Applies from the plug-in release
7.1A plug-in stores the signed licence file license.bml in %APPDATA%\BestMastering\ on Windows (clause 6 of the EULA). "Sign out" removes it.
7.2Your DAW stores plug-in settings and presets in your projects. We do not read your projects.
7.3The Microsoft WebView2 runtime used by the plug-in windows keeps its own cache and data, under Microsoft's terms, in the folder %LOCALAPPDATA%\BestMastering\WebView2 (note: %LOCALAPPDATA%, not %APPDATA%). Only if you yourself set the environment variable BM_WEBUI_LOG=1, the plug-in also writes a diagnostic log file %LOCALAPPDATA%\BestMastering\webeditor.log. It stays on your computer; we never receive it. You can delete both at any time; they are created again when needed.
8. Things we do not use#
No analytics cookies, advertising or retargeting cookies, tracking pixels, browser fingerprinting by us, social-media widgets, third-party fonts or third-party scripts, with one exception that is a security measure and not tracking: the bot check described below. A browser wallet extension (for example MetaMask) that you use to pay has its own storage, which we do not control. Separately from storage, supporting browsers may send our network provider (Cloudflare) a short technical network-error report if a page of ours fails to load; see the Privacy Policy, clause 3, row 18. Nothing from it is stored on your device.
The bot check (Cloudflare Turnstile). When the sign-up form or the password-reset form (or the "send again" of its e-mail) is shown, or the sign-in form after failed attempts, your browser loads a script from https://challenges.cloudflare.com and Cloudflare shows a frame from the same address, to tell people from automated scripts. Nothing is loaded from that address on any other page. BestMastering sets no cookie of its own and writes nothing to your browser storage for it. Anything Cloudflare itself sets for the check is not listed here: refer to Cloudflare's Cookie Policy and its Turnstile Privacy Addendum (https://www.cloudflare.com/turnstile-privacy-policy/). Your browser's settings can show and remove cookies. If your browser blocks them or the script, the forms that need the check do not work for you; the free tools keep working. See the Privacy Policy, clause 3, row 19.
9. How to see and remove everything#
- In Chrome or Edge: Settings -> Privacy -> Site data (or press F12 -> Application) shows cookies, local storage, IndexedDB, Cache storage and service workers for
bestmastering.com. Other browsers have similar pages. - Warning: removing site data deletes your autosaved projects, imported audio and settings on this device. We cannot restore them. Export first.
- Signing out in the Site ends the session and removes the session cookie, and the licence in memory is dropped. Signing out in a plug-in (from the plug-in release) removes the licence file.
- You can also block cookies; the free tools keep working, but you cannot sign in.
10. Consent#
10.1We use only storage that is strictly necessary to provide what you ask for (tools, offline use, saving your work, signing in). We do not ask for consent because we set nothing else. Cloudflare describes the signals of its bot check as strictly necessary for detecting and blocking bots.

Çerez ve Depolama Bildirimi
1. Kısaca#
- Ücretsiz araçlar hiç çerez koymaz. Bizim çerezlerimiz yalnızca bir hesap kullandığınızda (giriş, satın alma, indirme) ortaya çıkar ve yalnızca sizi oturumda tutmak ve istekleri korumak içindir. Hiçbir hesap işlevini açmayan bir ziyaretçi çerez almaz.
- Projeleriniz, içe aktardığınız ses ve ayarlarınız tarayıcınızda cihazınızda saklanır. Biz göremeyiz.
- Bir service worker, Site çevrimdışı çalışsın diye program dosyalarının kopyasını tutar. Sesinizi asla saklamaz.
- Analitik, reklam ya da izleme amaçlı depolama yoktur.
- Kayıt ve şifre sıfırlama formlarındaki (ve başarısız denemelerden sonra girişteki) bot kontrolünü Cloudflare çalıştırır. Bunun için çerez koymayız ve tarayıcınızda hiçbir şey saklamayız; Cloudflare'in kendisinin koyduğu şeyler için Cloudflare'e bakın (madde 8).

3. Tarayıcı depolaması: localStorage#
localStorage tarayıcınızda küçük metin değerleri saklar. Kodumuzdaki her erişim, depolama engellense bile Site çalışsın diye sarılmıştır.

5. Önbellek depolaması ve service worker#
5.1pwa-register.js bir service worker kaydeder (/sw.js, kapsam /). Yerel geliştirme sunucularında kaydedilmez.
5.2Worker, kendi program dosyalarımızın (sayfalar, betikler, stiller, simgeler, MP3 kodlayıcı, platform verisi) kopyasını Önbellek Depolamasında bestmastering-<yapı kimliği> adlı bir önbellekte saklar. Site'nin yeni bir sürümü yayımlandığında yeni sürüm yeni bir önbelleği doldurur ve eskisi silinir.
5.3Sesinizi asla saklamaz. Worker ses, video veya proje uzantılı dosyaları (wav, wave, mp3, flac, ogg, oga, opus, m4a, aac, aif, aiff, mp4, webm, mov, bmproj, zip), tarayıcının ses ya da video olarak yüklediği her şeyi ve bir dosyanın bir bölümü için yapılan istekleri atlar.
5.4Hesap verisi önbelleğe alınmaz. Worker, kendi adreslerimizden başka hiçbir adrese giden isteği işlemez (api.bestmastering.com üzerindeki hesap hizmeti bunlardan biridir), kendi /v1/*, /dl/* yollarımızı ve indirme listesini atlar, "no-store" veya "private" işaretli hiçbir yanıtı saklamaz ve yetkilendirme başlığı taşıyan hiçbir isteği önbelleğe almaz. Böylece bakiyeniz ve yatırma adresiniz gibi yanıtlar önbelleğe hiç kopyalanmaz ve çıkış yaptıktan sonra gösterilmez.
6. Lisans bilgisi#
6.1Giriş yaptığınızda Site imzalı lisansınızı (neye sahipsiniz, ne zamana kadar) alır ve imzasını cihazınızda kontrol eder. Lisansı yalnızca bellekte tutar; bu yüzden sayfayı kapatınca gider. Sayfa açıkken bağlantı koparsa, daha önce kontrol edilmiş bir lisans, sona erene kadar Pro işlevlerini çalışır tutar. Tarayıcı depolamasına yazılan tek şey, madde 3'teki küçük ipucudur. Lisans hesap kimliğinizi, lisans kimliğini, plan veya ürünleri, tarihleri ve imzayı içerir - e-posta adresinizi ya da şifrenizi içermez. CXDX tutma özelliği bir gün kullanılırsa bağlı cüzdan adresini de içerir.
7. Eklentilerin bilgisayarınızda tuttuğu dosyalar#
Eklenti sürümüyle birlikte geçerli olur
7.1Eklenti, imzalı lisans dosyası license.bml'yi Windows'ta %APPDATA%\BestMastering\ içinde saklar (EULA madde 6). "Çıkış yap" onu siler.
7.2DAW'ınız eklenti ayarlarını ve ön ayarları projelerinizde saklar. Projelerinizi okumayız.
7.3Eklenti pencerelerinin kullandığı Microsoft WebView2 çalışma zamanı, kendi önbelleğini ve verisini Microsoft'un şartları altında %LOCALAPPDATA%\BestMastering\WebView2 klasöründe tutar (dikkat: %APPDATA% değil, %LOCALAPPDATA%). Yalnızca siz kendiniz BM_WEBUI_LOG=1 ortam değişkenini ayarlarsanız eklenti ayrıca %LOCALAPPDATA%\BestMastering\webeditor.log teşhis günlük dosyasını yazar. Bilgisayarınızda kalır; bize hiç ulaşmaz. 8. Kullanmadıklarımız#
Analitik çerezleri, reklam veya yeniden hedefleme çerezleri, izleme pikselleri, bizim yaptığımız tarayıcı parmak izi, sosyal medya bileşenleri, üçüncü taraf yazı tipleri ya da üçüncü taraf betikleri yoktur; tek istisna izleme değil güvenlik önlemi olan, aşağıda anlatılan bot kontrolüdür. Ödeme için kullandığınız bir tarayıcı cüzdan eklentisinin (örneğin MetaMask) kendi depolaması vardır ve onu biz kontrol etmeyiz. Depolamadan bağımsız olarak, destekleyen tarayıcılar, sayfalarımızdan biri yüklenemezse ağ sağlayıcımıza (Cloudflare) kısa bir teknik ağ hatası raporu gönderebilir; Gizlilik Politikası madde 3, satır 18'e bakın. Bundan hiçbir şey cihazınızda saklanmaz.
Bot kontrolü (Cloudflare Turnstile). 9. Hepsini nasıl görür ve silersiniz#
- Chrome veya Edge'de: Ayarlar -> Gizlilik -> Site verileri (ya da F12 -> Application)
bestmastering.comiçin çerezleri, yerel depolamayı, IndexedDB'yi, Önbellek depolamasını ve service worker'ları gösterir. Diğer tarayıcılarda benzer sayfalar vardır. - Uyarı: site verilerini silmek bu cihazdaki otomatik kaydedilen projelerinizi, içe aktarılan sesinizi ve ayarlarınızı siler. Onları geri veremeyiz. Önce dışa aktarın.
- Site'de çıkış yapmak oturumu bitirir ve oturum çerezini kaldırır; bellekteki lisans bırakılır. Eklentide (eklenti sürümünden itibaren) çıkış yapmak lisans dosyasını kaldırır.
- Çerezleri engelleyebilirsiniz; ücretsiz araçlar çalışmaya devam eder ama giriş yapamazsınız.
10. Rıza#
10.1Yalnızca istediğiniz şeyi sağlamak için kesinlikle gerekli depolamayı kullanırız (araçlar, çevrimdışı kullanım, çalışmanızı kaydetme, giriş). Başka bir şey koymadığımız için rıza istemiyoruz. Cloudflare, bot kontrolünün sinyallerini botları tespit etmek ve engellemek için kesinlikle gerekli olarak tanımlar.
